1. What did you do 10 years ago?I was getting ready to move from Seattle to Boise with my mom. I was finishing up high school and kicking my feet a little bit about moving. I have been in Boise ever since. :)

2. Five items on your to-do list today:Pay Bills (eek)
Search for a coffee table for my lounge room at some thrift and consignment shops (Fun)
Yard Work (eek)
Pack for me and my kids to go to camp (Packing- eek, Camp- fun)
Finish details for Disneyland (We leave on Monday!! Fun!!!)


3. Snacks I enjoy:
This is so my favorite question!
Ginger Lemon cookies (thanks JB), green tea ice cream, brie cheese and pecan rice crackers and CEREAL. The more sugar cereal the better!

4. What would you do if you were a billionaire?
Adopt 20 more kids and fund thousands of adoptions.

How much do I love this chair? This much! (If you could see me my arms are extended as far as they can possibly go!) I really do L.O.V.E everything about this Antibodi Chair and Chaise by Patricia Urquiola. Its quirkiness, its splendid lines and curves, the way the flowers lay! Yay for this chair!!!!

Extend your living space

We always here the phrase "Your outdoor space should always be an extension of your indoor living space". Some of us wonder how that can be possible. Isn't outdoor furniture stiff and boring? Won't fabric be ruined outside? Well, lucky for us there are endless options available to create a gorgeous outdoor living space. If you are on a budget but still want stylish pieces, chain stores like Pier One, Target and Cost Plus World Market (to name a few) carry great and durable outdoor furniture and accessories. Or if you are on the hunt for streamline and chic pieces and budget isn't an issue there are a number of designers like Philippe Starck and Harry Bertoiawho have outdoor lines. My friend just purchased a fabulous modern table and chair set from...wait for it.... Walmart! And it looks really spendy!
If you already have an outdoor set spruce your space up with pots, well textiled outdoor pillows, candles ect. You should think outside of the box. My husband is about to install a chandelier on our patio right over our outdoor dining set which is our old dining room table that I am going to re-paint and the chairs our plastic from Ikea.
Moral of the story, have fun, be creative and make it as comfortable as your indoor space!

Vintage Gypsy

A few months ago my husband and I went to Sun Valley Idaho for a weekend getaway. We LOVE Sun Valley and always enjoy the shopping there. This last visit we found the cutest store "Vintage Gypsy" in Hailey which is right outside of Sun Valley. We met the owner Kim Garvin and she was so delightful. She carries a mix of antiques, retro, vintage and new items. You can order thru her custom fabric, furniture and a beautiful selection of lighting. I picked up a milk glass cream and sugar set. It is a store that I look forward to visiting again! (Sorry for the poor picture quality.)

Kick your feet up on a Pouffe!

You gotta love a good pouffe! I mean the name alone is fun to say. For those who are not familiar with the term, a pouffe is a piece of furniture used as a footstool or low seat. It is distinguished from a stool by being completely covered in fabric so that no legs are visible. It's essentially a large hard cushion that may have an internal wooden frame to give it more rigidity. It is also known as a tuffet or hassock. I personally do not own a pouffe but I have my eye on a few. They are such a fun accessory to add to any room. Here are a few pouffe's that are lovely.

I Like....

I think that I shall start this week by showing off a fabulous coffee table that I found on haus modern living.Designer Richard Schultz originally made this wood petal coffee table in 1960 to accompony the Knoll Bertoia chairs. All in all I think its great and I wish it was in my budget!
