There are certain images I see that make me think a big Wow.
I am sure that alot of you have heard of Constança Cabral and her Etsy shop as well as her blog. I have seen her name and her work around the web but just recently sat down to take a good look at her fun blog. Her use of fabrics and her eye for mixing textiles is lovely. I have collected my most favorite images from her blog. Please enjoy and make sure to go visit her!

I'm sure the owners trying to sell this home in Kingswood wouldn't mind if I house sat for awhile!
When I stumbled upon this home I quickly thought about how simpler the home can be the more certain pieces are able to be emphasized. If this kitchen /eating area had more objects you probably wouldn't notice the gorgeous wooden table and chairs. And the fun black and white rug wouldn't be such an anchor piece for the room.
So my design advice for the day is to keep things simple and only add 1-3 drama pieces in a smaller room and maybe a few more in a larger room.
The stools look great mixed with the wood on the table.
What a fun mix of patterned and solid textiles.
The moldings are great mixed with the more mid century pieces.
The floor looks effortless with the natural light wood.
I love this staircase with the 3 toned rug creeping up.
Everyone needs a tufted leather couch! (Right Hubby?)
The white clean lines in this bathroom create such a relaxing spa mood.
The table and desk give this corner a very vintage feel.
Love love the head and foot board.
This fireplace is so ornate and looks fabulous with more lighthearted toys as the accessories.
This bedroom is light and cheery. The dress displayed is a lovely feature.
I want this shower!!

This weekend we have the privilege of celebrating a day for just mommy’s. Some of you mom’s are saying “its about time”! We work so hard at what we do, whether if you are a stay at home mom or a working mom. Sometimes the list of mommyhood seems like it is the length of 3 novels but we always seem to get it done. (For the most part.) I think a great way of spoiling ourselves, after we open our new 4kt diamond necklace, is to do a major redo of our workspaces and making them look beautiful!! Your workspace might be the laundry room, a corner in the kitchen, your own personal office or a craft room specified for all things crafty. Alot of times our days don’t allow the luxury of making those spaces beautiful but its time to take a stand! Make your hubby watch the kids and go shopping! Get some cute crates and baskets, buy a labeler and start beautifying that space! You deserve. And since you have to look at it daily make it a jaw dropping room. I have a good friend whose craft room makes you want to sew, paint, knit and try about every craft out there.
So, my challenge for you is do what you need to do to love your specific space and then celebrate by eating a tub of yummy ice cream. Happy Mommy’s day all you beautiful, sacrificial, loving mommies!!!!

Since I brought Michelle Smith’s home from a more recent archive I thought it would be fun to dig deeper and pull out Mary MacDonalds office featured in Domino’s January 2006 issue. When I first saw this room I thought I had passed out and woke up in design paradise. I love Mary’s eye for design! She has more recent work on her website.

Next up is JK’s office. She kept the lines simple and clean. She is a bit ocd but it allows her office to always be uncluttered and it always looks like it is straight out of a magazine. My favorite part is the white office chair from Ikea.
If you can believe it, it is always this organized!!!

And now……her gorgeous living room.
She kept with modern lines on her furniture and then added gorgeous prints and textiles in her pillows and that lovely rug from West Elm!
I love the lamps flanking the couch.
Didnt she do a GREAT JOB?? I gave minor tips here and there but she came up with 99.9% of the design and for that, JK, you get the first annual Simply Grove house of the month award!
