Happy Holiday

I know its already a bit into the weekend but never the less, have a joy filled weekend and Labor Day!! I leave you with a photo of my son's room which was my project this week. My husband (my good looking carpenter) painted the walls white and left the top 2 feet and the ceiling the already existing mocha color . I have a few more things to add. Some art, photos, and my grandpa's antique desk to name a few. I am also on the hunt for the perfect chair for his room. I spotted a lime green louis style chair that needed some TLC at a thrift store for like $20 but when I went back to get it, it was gone:( Oh well.
Please check back next week for a fun giveaway!!!
Thank you so so much Holly for making Simply Grove your New Blog of the Week!

Bathrooms

If I had to pick the hardest space to do a simple redo it would have to be the bathroom. Unless you have lots of money to redo the floors, vanity area, bath or shower you are pretty much stuck with what you got. That is why you have to be creative. New mirrors, shower curtain, paint, wallpaper and lighting to name a few can really freshen up a space. Here are a few examples and inspirations of some gorgeous bathrooms that might inspire you to give yours a face lift.

I love wallpaper in powder rooms. Shootfactory

Room of the Day

So I was just browsing Apartment Therapy's Ohdeedoh for a couple purposes (hint hint JL) and I saw this room. Oh my goodness! I am always (seriously) on the search for the perfect little girls bedroom. It needs to have the perfect balance of pink, girliness, quirkiness and a little bit of fluff. This room fits the bill!

Magazine Monday

The latest issue of Elle Decor is my pick for Magazine Monday. I already posted on Nanette Lepore's home designed by Jonathan Adler which is spectacular. I also love Nate Berkus's Chicago home. All in all go get this issue!

Here's to the Day's

There a certain people who love textile design. Then there are those who love to design furniture. And then there are those who just design rooms. What about the ones who do it all! Like the Day's?? Yes.
The furniture designer Robin Day and his textile designer wife Lucienne made a huge statement in British Design after World War 2. They pioneered a new modern idiom and are still Britain's most celebrated design couple. Read there amazing bio here.

Way To Go Tori!

La La Lovely (lovely blog I might add) posted about this home last Wednesday and I became completely smitten:) I had no idea that I would love Tori Spelling's home so much. I have never watched her reality show so I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon these photos. Does anyone know who her interior designer is??
